Tonight is the World Premier of a feature documentary I shot last year. It’s premiere is at the Santa Barbara Film Festival and its all very exciting. The reason its so exciting is that its an amazing story that needs to be seen by as many people as if it does it really does have the potential to save lives.
The film is called The Challenge and it tells the story of Alex Smith. In June 2015, he completed an Ironman, known as the toughest single day challenge you can undertake, carrying his 40kg disabled son the whole way. This epic achievement was for his son, who is dying from a fatal muscle-wasting disease: Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The hope is that a major broadcaster/distributor will buy it so that as many people as possible can see this film.
Was such an honour to help tell this story and Alex, Harrison, Donna & William inspire me with their strength and courage.
